Sprinkle pepper down where they usually do there business in your house. Puppies and dogs always sniff before they go. At first I thought that this was cruel when my friend told me, but I was fed up and it really worked! This method didn't take very long for the dog to understand that he wasn't supposed to do his business in the house.You can alos use this method outside. Good Luck!

House breaking a puppy is easier than everyone makes it out to be. When I first got my puppy I made sure that I took him out every hour on the hour. I work 9 - 5 but I found an older woman in my neighborhood who loved walking him during the day, and she only charged $2 a walk! I kept him on a strict schedule. I took him to go potty every hour for the first 3-4 weeks, then every 2 hours for another 3-4 weeks, and so on. Since your puppy is older, his/her bladder is larger than say a 2 month old, so I'd say a bathroom break every 2 hours would work. I would also restrict their water intake. When my dog "Dude" was a puppy, I never left a bowl of water down because I couldn't tell how much he drank and if he needed to go outside or not.
I also made a rule that he was not allowed to drink any water an hour before bed. Dinner time should be well before bed time (if you go to bed around 9 or 10, i say feed him/her around 6) If you keep him/her on a strict schedule (that includes bathroom breaks, eating, and drinking) your problem should heal itself. Dogs train easiest when you have a routine. Hope this helps! Let me know how it works out!

stop feeding/watering your puppy, in approx a week he will stop peeing/soiling your floors.

Kennel training is the only way to go. A puppy does not like to use the rest room in his living area. Try keeping him for 3 hours at a time in a kennel or crate. Take him directly outside to the same area every time. Keep this up and gradually increase his time in crate until he is OK all night or while your away at work.

buy a kennel that is a little bigger than the dog for it to sleep in. dogs despise having to mess where they sleep. as a puppy, it will take a couple nights to learn the situation, but don't let up.

go buy a crate, the size of your dog. Only big enough where the pup can turn around and lay. You keep the pup in it at bed time. in the morning, let him out, take him straight out side to pee, and poop. you leave the pup in the crate while you are not at home. When ever there is a time that he goes on the floor, you show the pup, and in a strong voice you say NO, bad dog, then you take him out doors. that should work in about a week or two. you will always need the crate, because he will come use to it as his bed at bed time. you will need to get a bigger one as he grows. good luck to you.

If you know anyone who had a adult dog my suggestion is to let your puppy hang around the dog and let them outside together, your puppy will see and smell that the adult dog goes to the bathroom outside
